WM-6508i-B is an industrial general-purpose eight-port adaptive RS485 repeater hub with one main RS232/RS485 port. It is an RS485 hub specially designed for extended RS485 transmission distance and large-capacity serial communication networks.
The working principle of WM-6508i-B’s RS485 hub: that data is sent to each branch (PORT1~PORT8) through the main port.
After the data is received at the branch, it is transmitted to the main port. At this time, other branches will not receive its signal. In addition to high-speed optocoupler isolation protection and DC-regulated power supply protection, WM-6508i also has functions such as RS485 port short-circuit protection and open-circuit protection.
That is, among the 8 high-speed channels, if any one of the 8 high-speed channels has a line short circuit, open circuit, etc. due to damage to the RS485 terminal, In the event of a communication failure, the internal circuit will automatically block this channel, leaving other channels unaffected and maintaining normal communication. The main physical interface and data lines of the converter are made of all-copper material to ensure the stability of communication. The special circuit design can effectively shield external interference.
